These terms cover your use of PlayBank, a family chore and screen-time app for iPhone and iPad, operated by Qiseda Ltd. By downloading or using PlayBank you agree to them; if you don't agree, don't use the app. PlayBank is meant to be set up and managed by a parent or guardian.
You must be 18 or over to set up and run PlayBank, and you do so on behalf of your family. As the parent or guardian you are responsible for the child devices you add, for the information you enter about your family, and for making sure your use of the app is allowed where you live. Children use the app through a parent's setup; they do not create accounts or sign in.
PlayBank lets a parent set daily screen-time limits and chores, and lets a child earn and spend screen time on their own device. It works on top of Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls), so that has to be turned on, and it can only do what Apple's controls allow. PlayBank is a tool to help you run a screen-time routine; it is not foolproof and does not replace your own supervision. A determined child may find ways around it, and some content sits outside what it can manage. You stay responsible for supervising your child's device use.
Setting up a family uses Sign in with Apple or a one-time email code, and opening the Setup screen on a device needs a parent PIN that is kept on that device. Keep your sign-in and PIN to yourself: anyone who has them can change your family's settings. Email us at [email protected] if you think someone else has gained access.
Every family starts with a free trial, then moves to a limited free plan, and a subscription lifts the limits. The prices and what each plan includes are shown in the app, in the App Store, and on the subscribe page.
Subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store, so Apple takes the payment and Apple's terms apply to the purchase. A paid subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off renewal at least 24 hours before it ends. You can view, change or cancel a subscription, or turn off auto-renewal, in the App Store under your Apple ID then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period.
Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies, not by us. If you redeem an offer or promotional code, it gives the free or discounted access described when you redeem it; after that, standard pricing applies if you choose to continue.
Use PlayBank only to run your own family's chores and screen time. Do not use it to break the law, do not try to break, probe or interfere with the app or our systems, and do not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or build a competing product from it, except where the law says you may. Do not use it to monitor anyone you do not have the right to.
PlayBank, its name, design and software belong to Qiseda Ltd. While these terms are in force we give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on your family's devices. We do not grant you any other rights in it.
How we handle your family's data is set out in our privacy policy. By using PlayBank you agree to that policy.
We may update, add or remove features, and we may change or stop offering the app or a plan. PlayBank needs a compatible Apple device with Screen Time available; we cannot guarantee it will run on every device or that the service will always be uninterrupted.
Except for anything we cannot exclude by law, PlayBank is provided "as is" and "as available", without a guarantee that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose. As above, it relies on Apple's Screen Time and does not replace your supervision of your child.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, and so far as the law allows, we are not liable for loss we could not reasonably have foreseen, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for PlayBank in the 12 months before the claim. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
You can stop using PlayBank at any time, and delete your family and its data from inside the app or by emailing us. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or misuse the app. When your use ends, the licence in these terms ends with it.
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the Scottish courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer elsewhere in the UK, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws that apply where you live.
If we change these terms, we will update the effective date above, and a significant change will be reflected in the app or on this page. Continuing to use PlayBank after a change means you accept the updated terms.
