PlayBank is a family chore and screen-time app. This policy explains what the PlayBank service collects, why, and the choices you have. PlayBank is intended to be set up and managed by a parent or guardian.
We do not collect location, contacts, browsing or search history, purchases, financial or health information, or any advertising identifiers.
Only to operate the app for your family, which includes alerting the family's parents (for example, when the Setup screen is unlocked on a child's device). We do not use it for advertising, we run no third-party analytics or tracking, and we never sell or share it. There are no third-party advertising or analytics tools in the service.
PlayBank is used by families. A parent sets up the family and provides the child's information; the child does not sign in or enter data. We collect the minimum needed to run the app and rely on the parent's involvement as consent. A parent can review the information we hold, delete all of it, or stop further collection at any time (see Your choices).
We do not sell or share personal information with third parties. Our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare, processes and stores data on our behalf as a service provider (processor) under a data processing agreement, and is not permitted to use it for its own purposes.
Chore claims and screen-time records are automatically deleted after a short period. Your family and account data is kept until you delete it. Setup access alerts are not stored; they only trigger the notification to the family's parents.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Every request is authorized so a family can only ever access its own data. We never write names or tokens to our logs. Opening Setup requires a parent PIN; the PIN is stored only on the device and is never sent to us. If you sign in by email, the app also keeps that address on the device you signed in on, so it can show you which account that device uses; we still only ever store it as a one-way hash.
To review the data we hold, delete your family's data entirely, or stop further collection, contact [email protected]. On a deletion request we remove the family and all of its associated data. The parent who set up the family can also delete it directly in the app (Settings, then Delete account), which removes the family and all of its data from every device.
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above.
